dwelling
spring 2014
In my first collaborative design challenge, my group and I were presented with creating a self-sustaining dwelling complex in the southwest Texas town of Marfa. Requirements for this project called for creating a fictional character and designing a personal dwelling unit for them within the cohesive community. As a personal challenge, I chose to design for an elderly blind woman. The design of my dwelling suits her accessibility and enhances her quality of life by providing a sensory rich environment.
