My senior capstone in the Architecture Department was a high rise, multiuse building located in San Francisco, California. As a class, we traveled to San Francisco and conducted a thorough site analysis for our projects. After a semester’s worth of work, 530 Howard was born. The goal of 530 Howard was to create a new beacon for the new heart of the city, the Transbay Terminal. This 750’ tower rises above the surrounding skyline and provides unique views made possible by its sharp angles. My project was recognized by faculty and outside critics as top 9 distinction amongst the other 45 students in my class based off of presentation, integration, process, and more.
