My name is Thomas (Tommy) Schmidt, and I am currently in graduate school for my Masters of Architecture at North Dakota State University. Design has always been fascinating to me. The world around us is all designed, and leaving my mark on that world through design is something that drives me to be the best I can. Design is an experience, and should be treated as such. I believe that the experiences we have in life shape the way we see the world, and through design we can shape new experiences for people to have.

 

While at school, I try to keep myself as active as possible. Being active personally, physically, socially, and in the community is something that I hold dearly to me. I am currently active in many organizations including my fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, North Dakota AIAS, NDSU Interfraternity Council, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fargo/Moorhead, and the people I've met and experiences with being so involved have influenced me to grow as a person more than I could ever imagine.
